Baking is finally a piece of cake.

When it comes to baking, you're married to a recipe, flanked by measuring cups and scales — and rules. So many rules! Without some help, those rules can intimidate would-be bakers.

But fear not. Voraciously's new eight-week Baking Basics newsletter series is here to break down the most important rules of baking, because they're the keys to success. With our newsletter, baking can finally be a piece of cake.

In Baking Basics, Joy Wilson, better known as Joy the Baker, will teach you the fundamentals of baking and give you the tools you need to approach any recipe with a "hey, I can do this" attitude. The best part? Each lesson ends with an irresistible, classic recipe (like that dreamy pound cake up top)!

You can sign up at any time and receive Week 1 of the Baking Basics series when you and your oven are ready. Once you do, we'll pop into your inbox every Friday for eight weeks. We hope you'll sign up, break out your mixing bowls and tell your friends.
