She graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Marketing and had an outstanding marketing career at Hasbro in Pawtucket. In 2014, she decided to transition her business and marketing skills into a career in Real Estate. Dupuis combines her passion for sales, marketing, outstanding client service experience, and strong communication skills to every transaction for her buyers and sellers.
As a Smithfield resident for the past 30 years, she knows and understands the Northern Rhode Island real estate market like no other. She lives on one of the areas many lakes and enjoys boating, her family, fine wine, traveling, and cooking.
After spending years in the print advertising industry, Dave began working as an agent for Chicago Apartment Finders, mostly representing clients seeking apartments and condos for rent. During this time, he won awards for sales volume and client satisfaction, including a two year lease on a Mini Cooper Clubman (the company's equivalent of the Mary Kay pink Cadillac). Dave also spent three years working for the Laramar Group, managing the leasing and marketing for approximately 400 apartments on the north side of Chicago.
Dave is extremely happy to be back in Rhode Island and divides his very limited free time between restoring his 1930's home in the Auburn section of Cranston and spending time with family and friends in Newport. Outside of work, he spends time cooking and building things as an amateur carpenter and mason. A lifelong fan of This Old house, he is grateful for the variety of architectural styles throughout Rhode Island. Dave is a fund-raising co-chair for Historic New England Trust and Casey Farm in North Kingstown and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Saint Mary Academy - Bay View in East Providence.
Specialization: Historic homes, multi-family investment properties, new construction, condominiums, and single-family homes.

YWCA Rhode Island announced today that Deborah L. Perry, after 24 years, will step down from the role as President and CEO effective July 31, 2023. Perry is the youngest CEO in the local non-profit's history, and was appointed to the position in July 1999 at the age of 36, and served as its development director from 1997-1999. She will continue to lead the organization while the YWCA's Board of Directors conducts an extensive search for its next organizational leader.
"Deborah's leadership, vision, determination, as well as her unassuming 'can do' approach, have all served to increase the influence and impact of the YWCA," said Marissa Ruff, YWCA Rhode Island board chair. "Deborah's legacy includes growing YWCA assets, adding innovative programming in response to community identified needs and challenges, widening our physical footprint, and positioning the YWCA for long term financial stability and success."
Perry joined the YWCA Rhode Island following an early career in community and regional planning. "Every day I am impressed by the work of our dedicated team and I am inspired by the people we serve. I am fortunate to stand on the shoulders of giants and to be surrounded by amazing humans every day. Being part of the YWCA has helped inform the person I am today, and has greatly shaped my worldview. I am forever grateful to my YWCA family."
Perry's contributions toward the growth and impact of YWCA Rhode Island include:
Creating the vision for, and serving as the inaugural chair of the Sheila Skip Nowell Leadership Academy, the first charter school in Rhode Island to use a blended online curriculum and to focus on serving youth who are pregnant, parenting, or under-resourced.
Overseeing the merger of Woonsocket-based YWCA Northern Rhode Island into Central Falls-based YWCA Greater Rhode Island forming a single statewide organization.
Acquiring and revitalizing the YWCA/Nickerson Community Center in Providence resulting in a thriving resource serving over 100 Olneyville families on a daily basis.
Co-creating media to celebrate the aspirations and accomplishments of RI women including She Shines Magazine, Women of Achievement Awards, Women Holding Office celebration/YouTube video series, and Inspirational Women traveling exhibit.
Delivering innovative programs for middle school girls, including Rosie's Girls, Girls Circle, and the Fantastic Girltastic Code Company.
Managing Gateway to Independence, a nationally recognized and award-winning program serving over 100 veterans annually, as well as securing $2.7 million for renovation of its housing facilities.
"I look forward to my next journey and to learning new skills, meeting new people, and continuing to grow and learn. But first I plan to take a break for a few weeks, hike, and kayak, " said Perry.
The Board of Directors is committed to finding a strong leader to steward the organization into the future, and advance the YWCA mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Residential Properties Ltd. announced that Sales Associate Mariyah Hultquist has joined the outstanding team of real estate professionals at our Cumberland office. Mariyah is a native Rhode Islander with substantial knowledge of the area and is licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Steady success
Born in Lincoln, Mariyah moved with her family to southern New Jersey, then back to RI in 2014, attending Lincoln High School. With an extended family of Rhode Island natives, she remained closely tied to The Ocean State throughout her upbringing. "I have been familiar with Rhode Island since childhood," Hultquist said. "Since returning to Lincoln, my love for RI has only intensified. There is so much variety to enjoy, from different neighborhoods and geographies to the four seasons and flourishing cultural scenes. Plus, you can't beat the ready access to swimming and skiing."
A gradual and thoughtful journey into real estate began after Mariyah earned her bachelor's degree in business administration, with a focus in entrepreneurship, from Johnson & Wales University. She then spent a year working in property management in Florida, attaining both tenant-facing skills and specific industry knowledge. Most recently, she sharpened her marketing and sales talents at a manufacturing and engineering corporation in Lincoln.
Learning and listing
Her familial connections proved critical in selecting a real estate brokerage. "I called up my family member Alexander Raheb, a local attorney, for suggestions on where to start my new career," Hultquist said. "He mentioned Ryan Antrop, Cumberland Broker Manager with RPL, and Ryan and I had an extremely productive conversation. He has been a valuable sounding board and superb mentor ever since."
Energized by this new opportunity, Mariyah still enjoys moments to pause and spend time with her boyfriend Trevor, a fellow Lincoln High School grad, and her cat named Cali. Physical fitness and exploration of southern RI help ground her physically and spiritually, but new career trainings and studies are always around the corner. Mariyah is focused on the latest marketing strategies and techniques, as well as home staging, interior design, and residential construction/renovation. "I'm excited to meet new people and advise them through the complexities of real estate," Hultquist added. "I look forward to pursuing additional courses and seminars to better educate myself and add value to my license. Whether I'm working with first-time buyers or anyone with changing needs, I'm excited to help guide and support people on the road to their homeownership goals. "

RIMBA Names New Directors
The Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association (RIMBA) recently held its Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers on November 17, 2022, at Pawtucket Country Club. RIMBA has spent over three decades advocating on behalf of its members and consumers and is also an active community partner.
RIMBA was founded in 1986 to be a voice for a group of firms that were new to Rhode Island—mortgage bankers and brokers. RIMBA has advocated for its members on legislation and regulation that affected their business, building a solid, working relationship with both the state General Assembly and Department of Business Regulation.
During the annual meeting, members voted on and welcomed 2023 Incoming President, Benjamin Petit, Esq. Executive Vice President/General Counsel for Equity National Title. Benjamin graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.A. and went on to get his law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. He is an active member of the Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Oklahoma state bars and holds title insurance producer licenses in twenty-nine states. For the past seventeen years, Benjamin has worked for Equity National Title and Closing Services, Inc., a national title and settlement services provider with its base of operations in Providence, Rhode Island. Among his various duties, he is responsible for management of the operations, enterprise risk and all matters pertaining to corporate compliance, and for acquiring, developing and deepening strategically significant relationships within the title insurance industry that serve and support the interests of Equity National Title.
Benjamin has also been an active member of RIMBA for the past five years where he has served on the legislative and education committees, testifying on numerous bills as an advocate for the association and organizing educational activities for the benefit of its membership. For the past two years, Benjamin has served on the Board of Directors for RIMBA where, working alongside his fellow board members, he has helped to shape vision and strategy for membership engagement and advocacy. He resides in Johnston, RI with his family.
"Ben has been very active on our Legislative Committee for the past five years and for the past two a tremendous asset on the Board of Directors. He has taken on increased responsibilities at Equity recently placing additional demands on his time. That was a concern when I first approached him with the idea of nominating him to be our next President. After a weekend of careful consideration, he advised me that he would be honored to accept the responsibility if chosen. I feel that his excitement for the task at hand and his vision for the future direction of RIMBA will lead to continued growth for the Association and significant additional value add for its members," said Thomas Fleming, RIMBA Executive Vice President.
